This bird was the first record for the UK and was originally found at Gloucester Landfill, Hempsted, Gloucestershire on December 15th 2006 and also seen on the Towy Estuary, Carmarthenshire in February 2007 before returning to the landfill site in March where it was originally found. After a gap of just over a month, its last appearance in the UK was at Beddington SF, although it only stayed long enough to be seen by two people.
