  • Canary Wharf: there is a completely grey/white-headed Cormorant Phalacrocorax carbo on wildlife platforms on Middle Dock. Is it of the sinensis subspecies? or is it just of mature years? (Phil Laurie); Probably the majority of Cormorants in London are sinensis - certainly most of the breeding ones are [John Archer].

  • Brookmill Park: Mandarin, Sparrowhawk, 6 Redwing (Conrad Ellam); Hi there, what time do you see these birds at Brookmill?  Is this first thing in the morning? [Priscilla Macpherson] I usually visit the park mid to late morning. The Mndarin is nearly always present, the Sprrowhawk is less frequent & the Rdwing come & go. Many birds, incl the Rdwing, visit the park to bathe in the river & often turn up when the day's warmed up a bit. The Kngfisher moves up & down the river & usually shows in the park if you wait long enough [Conrad Ellam]
