  • Dagenham Chase: Mediterranean Gull 1st winter with Hungarian ? ring on right leg on slack 1:50pm-c2:45pm. (Vince Halley-Frame).
  • Dartford Marshes: Green Sandpiper, Corn Bunting (Andrew Lawson via Kent OS)
  • Highgate: Lesser Whitethroat [overwintered?] showed well in gdn briefly 1110 (BirdGuides) This was my report to BirdGuides. We had excellent but brief views of the bird just a few feet from our kitchen window. Presumably it has overwintered somewhere in the country, since this seems very early for a migrant. It was generally quite washed out in appearance. I have no idea if it might have been from the east, but cameras are now at the ready if it returns. It was associating with the 3 blackcaps which have been with us since January, so our eyes are peeled. (Matt Evans)

Told a local birder I bumped into, and he said there was often one in the area, which did surprise me, but as this isn't my local patch didn't think too much of it [BB]
