Up to 4 Little Egrets have been seen this wk around Brent Cross Shopping Centre & Brent Reservoir, last Sunday a record 9 Little Egrets were noted heading low N so they were definitely the same Little Egrets [Andrew Verrall].

[Daniel Whitelegg] There was an odd-looking male P'ntail here last winter which looked pure at a distant but head & breast were off-colour when it was closer, possibly suggesting some sort of hybrid influence. I have only seen a P'ntail once so far this winter (last Monday) when it was too far away to tell whether or not it was the same bird as last yr [Ian Woodward]. Both birds looked OK as far as I could tell - I had very good & prolonged views (James Palmer).
