This site forms a migration corridor through the west side of the Borough of Redbridge along the River Roding. It extends from Redbridge Roundabout in the south to the Borough boundary with Essex in the north. Kingfishers can be seen and Little Egrets have been known to frequent the Woodford Bridge area of the river.
The plantlife is a mosaic of rough grassland and tall herbs with areas of amenity grassland and small pockets of woodland and scrub.
The park is open from 8 am to dusk throughout the year.
How to get there: Roding Valley Park is very close to Redbridge Underground Station on the Central Line. Nearby bus routes include 66, 123, 129, 145, 179, 275, 366, 549, W12 & W14.
